The Dog Who Broke Instagram
Meet Lucy, a Minneapolis pup whose owners conquered Instagram, started a pet boutique and work to help dogs everywhere.
If you've ever tagged a photo #dogsofinstagram, then you've joined a community created by Ashley Paguyo and Ahmed El Shourbagy, Lucy's doting owners. Nearly 4 million people follow their handle of the same name, lured by pics of, you know, dogs being adorable. (There's a coffee-table book, too.)

Next came web shop Lucy and Co. (lucyandcompany.com), selling mod pet gear from indie designers-stuff like rope toys, Hawaiian shirts and dog beds. Now, the duo are using their social sway to find homes for rescue dogs around the country. Grab the tissues, and follow @dogsofshelters to learn more.
Where does a well-dressed pooch strut her stuff in Minneapolis?
"We love spending a summer afternoon with Lucy on the patio at the restaurant Barbette-it's like transporting to France!" Ashley says. "And everyone in our family's tails wag when we escape the city (without ever leaving) at Minnehaha Falls off-leash dog park."
