  • In a large saucepan, cook ground beef and onion until beef is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.

  • Stir water, carrots, celery, consomme or broth, tomato, seasoned salt, and bay leaf into meat mixture. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until carrots are tender. Remove and discard bay leaf before serving. Makes 3 or 4 servings.
