You'll be amazed what a quick simmer with fresh ginger and scallions will do for boxed chicken broth. Throw in frozen pot stickers (Chinese dumplings), edamame and red cabbage for a nutritious dinner that's ready in 30 minutes.

  • In a Dutch oven, cook white parts of green onions, the ginger and garlic in hot oil over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Add broth, the water and chili-garlic sauce. Bring to boiling. Add pot stickers and edamame. Return to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until pot stickers are cooked through. Add cabbage; cook 1 minute more. Served topped with green onion tops, sesame seeds and a drizzle of sesame oil.

*Shopping Tip

Chili-garlic sauce (sambal oelek) is widely available. Look for black sesame seeds at specialty spice stores.
