  • In a blender container or food processor bowl, combine garlic, basil, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and pine nuts or walnuts. Cover and blend or process with several on/off turns until a paste forms.

  • With machine running slowly, gradually add olive oil and blend or process to the consistency of soft butter. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.

  • Thaw, if frozen. Add to hot pasta, potato salad, or scrambled eggs. Makes 1 cup (enough for 12 pounds pasta).
