For each sandwich, spread 2 slices of bread with mayonnaise, salad dressing or sandwich spread. Place 2 or 3 slices of tomato on one piece of bread. Top with 4 or 5 slices of cucumber.
Season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Sprinkle with fenugreek, if you like. Top with the second slice of bread. Cut in half.
You can buy fenugreek in major health food stores, Middle East and Indian markets.
