In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cheese, cherries, sunflower seeds, and onion.
Stir together mayonnaise, yogurt, and cherry or raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss well. Sprinkle with bacon.
Cover and refrigerate salad until serving time. Stir before serving. Stir in a little milk to thin the dressing, if you like. Makes 8 to 10 side-dish servings.
To make your own vinaigrette, combine 1 tablespoon cherry or raspberry vinegar, 1 tablespoon salad oil, and 1/8 teaspoon dried basil, crushed.
