Orange-Sage Sweet Potatoes with Bacon
Place sweet potato slices in a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. In a small bowl combine orange juice concentrate, the water, brown sugar, salt, dried sage, and thyme. Pour mixture over sweet potatoes; toss to coat. Top with butter.Advertisement
Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Before serving, stir potatoes to coat with sauce; sprinkle with bacon. If desired, garnish with fresh sage.
Prepare as directed in Step 1. Cover and chill for up to 24 hours. Continue as directed.
