Consider this oven-roasted mélange a hands-free stir-fry. It’s fantastic over rice or as a side to pork.




  • Preheat oven to 425°. In a 15x10x1-inch baking pan, combine cabbage, carrot, almonds and ginger. Drizzle with vegetable oil; toss to coat. Roast for 10 minutes. Stir in plums. Roast 10 to 15 minutes more, or until cabbage is wilted and starting to brown.

  • Meanwhile, combine sesame oil, sugar, rice vinegar, soy sauce and green onions. Drizzle over cabbage mixture; toss to coat.
