Chocolate Ice Cream Variations

- Chocolate-Mocha Ice Cream: Stir 1 cup chilled strong brewed coffee or 1/2 cup brewed espresso and 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur into ice cream mixture before freezing. If you like, stir in 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate pieces before ripening.
- Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Ice Cream: Stir 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate pieces or coarsely chop 6 ounces of your favorite chocolate candy bar into ice cream before ripening.
- Chocolate-Toasted Almond Ice Cream: Stir 1 cup chopped almonds, toasted, into ice cream before ripening.
- Chocolate-Peanut Butter Ice Cream: Whisk 1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter into ice cream mixture before freezing; stir in 8 chocolate-covered peanut butter cups, coarsely chopped, before ripening.
- Chocolate-Mint Ice Cream: Stir 1 cup finely broken peppermint candies and ten -1/2-inch diameter chopped chocolate-covered cream-filled mint patties into ice cream before ripening.
- Chocolate-Toffee Ice Cream: Stir four 1.4-ounce bars chocolate-covered toffee candy, coarsely chopped, into ice cream before ripening.
- Chocolate-Truffle Ice Cream: Stir 1 cup coarsely chopped chocolate truffles or your favorite chocolate candy and 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted, into ice cream before ripening.
- Chocolate-Rocky Road Ice Cream: Stir 1 cup chopped almonds, toasted, and 1 cup tiny marshmallows into ice cream before ripening.
- Chocolate-Fudge Brownie Ice Cream: Stir 2 cups coarsely chopped fudge brownie bars into ice cream before ripening.
- Chocolate-Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream: Stir 2 cups crumbled chocolate sandwich cookies with white filling or chocolate wafer cookies into ice cream before ripening.
