Dress up grilled asparagus with this crispy crumb mixture, sort of a savory streusel made with panko, walnuts, lemon zest and mint. The combo is especially good alongside pork or chicken.




  • In a medium bowl, combine walnuts, breadcrumbs, mint, 2 tablespoons of the oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper; set aside.

  • Heat a grill pan over medium heat (or prepare a gas or charcoal grill for direct cooking over medium heat). Toss asparagus in the remaining tablespoon of oil. Grill until gently charred, turning occasionally, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer to platter; top with crumb mixture.
