Heat a grill pan over medium heat (or prepare a gas or charcoal grill for direct cooking over medium heat). Toss asparagus in the remaining tablespoon of oil. Grill until gently charred, turning occasionally, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer to platter; top with crumb mixture.
