Juice lemons; should have about 3 cups juice. In a medium saucepan, heat lemon juice and sugar or honey till sugar or honey completely dissolves. Set aside to cool.
In a gallon container, combine lemon mixture with water. Cover and chill or serve immediately.
Fill each glass with ice and, if you like, add a mint or lemon balm sprig. Pour in lemonade and enjoy. Makes 14 to 16 servings.
