Peel, core and slice pears. Place in a buttered 12x7-1/2x2-inch (2-quart rectangular) baking dish. Sprinkle pears with lemon juice.
In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and sugar. Cook and stir over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until thick and smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in almonds and cream. Pour over pears.
Bake in a 375 degree F oven about 25 minutes or until pears are tender. Top with raspberries or strawberries. Makes 6 servings.
