  • In heavy small saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Stir in whipping cream and milk. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly, then reduce heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Transfer to bowl; cover surface with plastic wrap. Cool to room temperature before using. Makes about 1-2/3 cups.
