Peel and section the oranges over a large glass serving bowl to catch the juices.
Add the powdered sugar to orange sections and juice in the serving bowl; toss to coat.
Gently stir in the halved strawberries and sliced kiwi. Cover and chill in the refrigerator until serving time. Before serving, sprinkle the coconut over the top of the mixture. Pour chilled champagne into the bowl, if you like. Serve immediately. Makes 8 servings.
For a nonalcoholic version of this colorful fruit recipe, you can omit the chilled champagne.
