  • Cut the loaf of Vienna bread into 1-inch cubes. Spread the bread cubes in a shallow baking pan, cover loosely and let dry overnight.

  • In a medium bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, the 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar, the cream, and vanilla.

  • In a very large bowl, combine the Vienna bread cubes and raisins. Pour the milk mixture over the bread cubes. Stir until the bread is soaked with the milk mixture.

  • Turn mixture into a well-buttered 13x9x2-inch baking pan or dish. Cover the pan or dish with foil. Bake in a 325 degree F oven about 1 hour or until pudding is set.

  • Prepare the Caramel Sauce.

  • Top warm or cold bread pudding with warm sauce. Make 12 servings.
