  • Spread apples evenly in lightly greased 13x9x2-inch (3-quart rectangular) baking dish. Drizzle juice over top.

  • In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. In same bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and the salt. Stir in softened butter until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.

  • Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until top is lightly golden and apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream, if you like. Makes 8 servings.
