  • Allow cheddar cheese and cream cheese to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cheddar cheese and cream cheese on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add sour cream, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Beat on medium speed till nearly smooth, scraping sides of bowl. Fold in apple, carrot, pecans, onions and currants. Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours.

  • Stir before serving. Serve with rye bread, toast rounds, crackers and/or mini bagels. Makes 3 cups spread.
