  • In a medium saucepan, combine candy coating and shortening. Cook and stir over low heat until melted. Remove from heat; let stand 10 minutes.

  • Dip about half to two-thirds of the pretzel into melted candy coating. Sprinkle with decorative candies. Place in a drinking glass or on waxed paper to dry. Makes 24 servings.

Place pretzels in layers in an airtight container, separating layers with waxed paper. Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.
