Midwest Living Review
This too-cute quilting store tucks into an 1887 schoolhouse off Cedarburg's main drag. The shop sells a wealth of fabrics, notions, books, patterns, wool and more. All displayed among the school's nooks and crannies. Its specialty is reproduction fabrics. In 2010, Ye Olde Schoolhouse was named one of America's top 10 quilting shops by "American Patchwork and Quilting" magazine. In addition to offering everything a quilter might want or need, the people staffing the shop are incredibly friendly and helpful. And check out the old schoolhouse bathroom, which they've decorated quite well. The only possible negative is that the shop is only open Wednesday through Saturday, but we think it's worth timing a vist even if you're not a quilter.
