Midwest Living Review
This Wisconsin Dells resort provides both family-friendly lodging -- featuring four indoor, guests-only water parks and wilderness-theme hotel rooms -- and a quiet getaway spot with fully furnished cabins, condominiums and villas. The property is so big that you need a map to find your way around. It includes the Wilderness Hotel, the Glacier Canyon Lodge, Wilderness on the Lake condominiums, as well as the nearby Sundara Spa and Wild Rock Golf Club. Families will enjoy the water features, including a Wild West indoor water park, an outdoor wave pool and the Hurricane extreme-tubing slide. There is even scuba diving! Limiting the water parks to guests prevents crowding. And all the standard land-based activities are offered as well as the hip favorites, laser tag and zip lines. While some of the overnight lodging rates are steep in summer (around $250), they're in line with those at the Dells' other big resorts. And resort staff likes to say that there is something for everyone's budget, from a basic hotel room to a five-bedroom entertainment cabin. There are five restaurants.
