Midwest Living Review
Open for lunch and dinner, Tuscan Tavern and Grill in Lake Geneva capably satisfies cravings for elegant Italian cuisine. Hardwood floors, a wood-beamed ceiling and brick accents create a cozy atmosphere that feels warm and intimate.
The dinner menu kicks off with an array of Italian appetizers ($10 to $15) like bruschetta, antipasto, calamari and eggplant Caprese. An extensive selection of entrees includes artisanal pizzas baked in a brick oven, pastas, pork, beef, chicken and seafood. The house specialties cover both Italian dishes like fire-roasted tomato gnocchi ($15) and chicken piccata ($17) as well as a few surprises along the lines of seared ahi tuna ($26) served with Asian vegetables, spicy peanut vinaigrette and wasabi mashed potatoes. The lunch menu isn’t much different from the dinner menu, although it offers more sandwich options. Kids have their own menu to consider, and the restaurant thoughtfully highlights gluten-free offerings (including a gluten-free pizza).
The food is quite good—locals often name this place as one of their favorite spots—and service is prompt, friendly and accommodating.
