Midwest Living Review
You won't find a wealth of glasswork on display at Soulshine Arts, a new art studio, gallery, classroom in Cedarburg. Owners and glassblowers Willo Sernovitz and Deborah Ember, who create all of the glasswork, focus mainly on custom lighting for homes and commercial business: sconces, pendant lights, chandeliers and more. But they also produce fused-glass jewelry, mixed-media pieces (namely glass and metalwork) and art glass. A small selection of these is on display. During the holidays, you'll also find items like blown-glass pumpkins and ornaments. The two are passionate about introducing this artistic medium to the community, so they offer glassblowing classes as well. But don't think you need to be a local to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Special evening couple's classes are held where you can blow your own piece of art with your partner then enjoy a little wine and cheese. To encourage visitors to take part, Soulshine Arts partners with the Stagecoach Inn across the street to offer guests a package deal.
