Midwest Living Review
It's appropriate that you have to walk through an art gallery to get to this funky little footwear boutique, since the owner describes her merchandise as "art for your feet." Open since 2005, the store meshes neatly with its neighbors in the hip Historic Third Ward, selling shoes by designers who aim for creative but accessible--and comfortable--styles, and featuring eco-conscious products and lines from hard-to-find regional designers. Price points on shoes run from under $100 to more than $500, and besides footwear, Shoo offers handbags, belts, handmade jewelry and fun accessories like clips for your shoes. The store also hosts lots of trunk shows; if you're interested, they'll schedule a private shopping party after hours for you and some friends.
