Midwest Living Review
This Bayside business is one part dog wash, one part coffee shop, and one part pet products store. Customers can order coffee and bakery items while they hang out in the comfortable, living room-like waiting area. Fiddlehead's Bakery, located next door, delivers orders through sliding double windows, and java drinkers love that they get locally roasted Alterra coffee here.
Not at all clinical, Community Bark features brightly painted walls and a fun waiting area with lots of colorful leather chairs. Above the fireplace, a flat-screen TV displays a slideshow of local dogs (owners are invited to send in photos of their pets to add to the mix). Large windows offer a clear view to the washing areas, so customers can keep an eye on their dogs as they sip coffee or make use of free Wi-Fi. Community Bark staff will wash dogs for $29 to $37, depending on size; price includes shampoo, blow-dry and a blueberry facial. Or DIY for $15 to $24.
Staff and clientele are friendly, as dog owners typically are, lending a social community feel. The business also sells dog treats and a large assortment of pet products, including specialty food and play toys.
