Midwest Living Review
On Thursday evenings from June through September, thousands of Milwaukee locals congregate for the popular Jazz in the Park summer concert series in East Town’s Cathedral Square Park. Music varies weekly but includes straight-ahead jazz to Latin jazz and everything in between.
Rounding out the event, local restaurants sell food and drink from a row of booths on one edge of the park. Dine on casual eats like wraps, burgers, wings and brats, plus lots of local beer. Visitors are also free to bring to bring picnic baskets; there are plenty of picnic tables and spots to set up lawn chairs.
Jazz in the Park is a family-friendly event, but attendees are asked to leave their dogs at home.
