Joey Buona's Pizzeria & Restaurant

This Italian spot, which opened in 2001, is run by the same Joe--last name Buonavolanto--who operates other regional eateries like the Buona Beef chain and Brett Favre's restaurant in Green Bay. Joey Buona's is gigantic, which suits it, since so are most of the dishes on its menu of pizza, pasta and desserts. The restaurant claims its lasagna is "The World's Best: None bigger or better," and they might be right--it's pricey, but for your money, you'll get a massive slab of mouthwatering meat, cheese, noodles and sauce cooked to perfection ($17). And chocolate fans should not miss the Abbodanza, an almost-as-large slice of cake made from four kinds of chocolate ($5). The restaurant's size and family-size portions make Joey Buona's a good bet if you need to feed a large group. Plan on sharing to reduce the tab (again--the place isn't cheap), and you can count on an eminently satisfying experience.
