Midwest Living Review
Merry Mac's is a well-rounded camping destination with a little bit of something for everyone. The campground itself isn't enormous—just 85 overnight sites (along with about 150 seasonals) all tucked into a quiet 40-acre parcel of land. Most of the sites are hidden in a hilly, wooded section, although some sit in a more open area. Guests can also elect to stay in rental unit options that include a full house, cabins, yurts and park models. In-season site rates start at $30.
The campground abounds with amenities to keep everyone amused—a heated pool, fishing pond, swimming pond with inflatables, electronic games, pedal carts, bikes and mini-golf, to name just a few. Regularly scheduled activities like Texas Hold-Em tournaments and nickel bingo up the fun factor. Family-oriented weekends have themes like Under the Sea Beach Party with sandcastle building, a beach blanket party and limbo contest or a Death By Chocolate event featuring chocolate mud wrestling, a cake walk and plenty of tasting opportunities.
For those who want to venture out, Devil's Lake State Park is minutes away, offering hiking trails, boating, rock climbing, swimming and fishing. Wisconsin Dells is within a half-hour drive.
