Midwest Living Review
If handcrafted items are your thing, Kismet is worth a quick stop. The one-room shop is tiny but filled with an interesting range of handmade items—mainly clothing, jewelry, purses, bath and body products, and home decor.
Quality varies, and some of the merchandise clearly feels homemade. For example, the doggie aprons and sweaters with rickrack trim have obviously been made by a craftsperson and not a professional. Ditto the dresses intended to fit American Girl dolls, some of the knit caps and recycled-wool mittens. Nicer items include hand-painted wine glasses, artsy jewelry, stylish bags and ceramic pieces. The merchandise is always changing, so customers never know just what they might find.
