The Honeybee welcomes with comfy beds and delectable gourmet breakfasts.

The minute you walk up to the Honeybee Inn, you know you've stumbled upon something good. Really good. A cheery, decorative chalkboard set outside the front door welcomes the night's guests. Barb and Fred Ruka, the owners, are excited to greet you and show you their home, which is now yours for the night. It's obvious they take pride in the inn, from its tasteful decor to its impeccable cleanliness. The inn features four bedrooms, all with four-poster feather beds, fireplaces and either whirlpool tubs or showers with wall-mounted jet sprays. The rooms, decorated along different themes, are spacious and sumptuous, featuring high-thread-count sheets, soft microfiber towels and comfy spa robes. And then there are the numerous extras, like the fancy chocolates left bedside, whirlpool fragrance oils and the complimentary popcorn, water, soft drinks, coffee and tea, conveniently located in the upstairs foyer. The Rukas are the consummate hosts: They're happy to help you find a place for dinner or something to see or just to chat, yet give you plenty of space. And Barb cooks a mean breakfast: Think of items like hot apple fritters, pineapple chunks laced with maple sauce and topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut, strawberry-stuffed French toast, roasted potatoes and Neuske's sausages. If you must skip breakfast to go birding, the popular local activity, don't despair. Barb will prepare a boxed to-go meal for you. It doesn't get much better than this. From $139.
