Midwest Living Review
Even if you don't have a single decoration in your yard or garden, you'll enjoy browsing through Garden Goodies. Before you step foot inside, there's plenty to look at outside. First, follow the sign inviting you to Stroll through our garden. A brick path leads you alongside the shop to a pavilion filled with items like metal sculptures, wind chimes and ceramic toadstools. Picturesque Cedar Creek lies a stone's throw out the pavilion's other end, enhancing the ambience. Adjacent to the pavilion is the Potting Shed, a 150-year-old wooden building filled with decorative iron objects and Americana pieces. And filling the side yard? Whimsical metal sculptures (think a guitar-playing dog in a cowboy hat), birdhouses, fountains and more. Then you can duck inside the shop proper through its back door. You'll find an eclectic mix of home decor merchandise and women's accessories, the latter of which seems a bit out of place for a garden store. For example, you'll find purses, scarves and jewelry in one room, an interesting selection of fairies in another, and seasonal dcor in several more. And just when you think you're finished and step outside, there's one more collection of outdoor gift items displayed on a brick patio. If you want a garden-related item, you're guaranteed to find it here. And maybe a few other things, too.
