Midwest Living Review
On fall weekends, Orchard Country Winery and Market has a team of parking attendants to manage the crowds. The orchard’s annual fall festival packs in all the activities you’d look for in a country weekend: live bands, food vendors under little tents, an art gallery in the big red barn and even a cherry pit-spitting contest. The property includes 100 acres, most of which are covered with orchards and grape vines to supply the on-site cider mill and winery. The large gift shop offers a tasting bar to try out the 30-plus wines made by Orchard Country. The rest of the retail space is full of blingy impulse clothing items with a lot of double-entendres about drinking wine, plus a big supply of local jams, jellies, pies, doughnuts and other goodies. Trolley tours of Door County depart from/return to the orchard’s ticket booth.
