Midwest Living Review

Dan Daly
This picture-perfect city park offers recreation, gardens and pretty scenery.

Just west of uptown Watertown, the nicely maintained Riverside Park skirts both sides of the Big Sioux River. This city park's main attraction is the West Kemp Avenue Bridge, a picturesque stone structure commemorated in Spring Fishing, one of local artist Terry Redlin's best-known paintings.

Riverside also boasts plenty of tennis courts, picnic shelters and flower gardens. The bike paths traversing the property connect with a network of trails running through the city and out to Lake Kampeska on the northern edge of town.
