Midwest Living Review
The main room at Bully Blends, located on Main Street just outside downtown Rapid City, is worth visiting for the browsing factor alone if you're a beverage aficionado. Surrounding the small counter area are large racks full of tea displayed in big glass jars. Another wall holds a couple of levels of metal dispensers full of coffee beans. Pass through a doorway to reach a cozy dining area with brick walls and several booths and tables. The in-house deli offers a good assortment of sandwiches, wraps, soups, quiches, pastries and desserts (average price for an entree is in the $7-$8 range; half-size portions are sometimes available for less). If you find yourself fancying an afternoon tea of savories, scones and sweets, call a day in advance, and Bully will set you up with a two-hour experience ($16.95 per person). Along with a variety of coffees, teas and smoothies, the beverage menu features wines and beers, including three ales handcrafted by the shop. Hours change almost daily, so check the website for current times. Tea is served starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
