Midwest Living Review
The Loftus Store, which was the nicest place in town to shop during Laura Ingalls Wilder's years, still has the biggest assortment in town. The best part is a store-within-a-store feel of the front corner, which is packed with books by Laura Ingalls Wilder for a variety of reading levels, plus more pioneer and American history stories and activity books. There are also old-fashioned dolls, nostalgic kids' toys, and a classy assortment of women's clothing, accessories and shoes. It also has a hometown feel with its loyal assortment of local Bulldogs teamwear.
