Wooster

Located in the heart of Amish Country, Wooster is surprisingly not Amish at all. This modern community is the county seat of Wayne County; the home of Wooster College and Ohio State's agricultural research center; and until recently, Rubbermaid's corporate headquarters. Wooster, which boasts a population of 26,000, is one of the larger communities in the area and has its own symphony orchestra and arts center. While visiting, you might notice Amish folks from nearby communities visiting the town to shop or conduct business at the local courthouse, but beyond that, Wooster is your typical small town. The Everything Newell Rubbermaid retail store remains a fixture in the downtown, which is attractive, quite lively and filled with shops and restaurants.
