Midwest Living Review
The Winery at Spring Hill opened in 2009 on the grounds of a former vegetable farm and produce stand. It fits right in to the laid-back, down-home vibe so popular with wineries in this region. Two large fireplaces anchor opposing walls inside a renovated modern barn, and a mix of high-top and regular tables, alongside plush couches, encourage lingering. Spring Hill offers a limited menu of sandwiches, but a few extra touches give it a special voice. Locally roasted coffee occupies a prominent place on the menu, as do a bevy of yummy desserts. There are plenty of wineries around Ashtabula County focused exclusively on wine, and that's fine but if you want to clear your head with a cup of joe, or pair that merlot with something sweet, this is the place to come.
