Midwest Living Review
It's easy to see why this lunch spot is a favorite for office workers in downtown Sandusky. With a little of the feel of a '60s cafeteria, it features homey food served with authentic friendliness. The chicken salad croissant was perhaps the best we have ever had, despite being served with a disappointing side of chips and a pickle spear. The pancakes and eggs were fluffy, and the chicken fingers with curly fries hit the spot. The decor feels retro without really meaning to. One wall is covered with a huge mirror, reflecting the faces of retirees and office workers who appear to be regulars. Cheery red scalloped-edge paper place mats contrast with the apple green wall color. Brown vinyl "stacking" chairs pull up to brown laminate tabletops. A smattering of many too-small pieces of artwork may remind you a little bit of Granny. But so might the pie, offered in generous slices.
