Midwest Living Review
Visitors wanting a break from traditional Amish Country meat and mashed potatoes fare will rejoice over this new addition to Walnut Creek. Rebecca's Bistro, located in a cozy, cute-as-a-button log cabin kitty-corner from Der Dutchman, serves up gourmet breakfasts and lunches. Our personal favorites--tomato-basil soup ($3.29) and chicken salad sandwich ($8.99). The soup was filled with rich cream and chunks of fresh tomatoes, while the chicken salad was laced with delicious red grapes and nuts. Another specialty is the rich chocolate cake baked by a local Amish woman. Rebecca's hosts gourmet dinners the second Friday of every month. It's a different menu each time and costs just $30 a person.
