Midwest Living Review
Sensory overload hits the minute you stand under the glass chandelier outside the green front door to the shop. Green Velvet is one of those intimate stores where every inch has been decorated to whimsical perfection. Multiple chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and ribbons and bows adorn gilded mirrors and ceramic bunnies. It's all lacey and frilly yet funky and fun! You can purchase a little bit of everything here: glassware, muffin mixes, Granville postcards (made with photos by the owner's husband), and fragrant soaps and lotions. A wide selection of designer Amy Butler's innovative fabrics and houseware designs are also available. (She is a Granville native.) Merchandise changes regularly; at the very least, peek at the window next time you're in town to see what creative mischief the owner is up to this season.
