Midwest Living Review
Farmerstown Furniture went into business in 1969. Since then, the store has adopted its tagline as the granddaddy of Amish furniture stores because its founder was one of the first in Holmes County to sell solid wood furniture made by local Amish craftsmen. Today, the 5,000-square-foot, three-story furniture store offers a vast inventory made from oak, cherry and hickory. People can also order custom-made pieces or shop for beautifully made showroom items ranging from old-fashioned Hoosier kitchen cabinets to modern computer desks. Farmerstown Furniture also has an extensive hardware section that features just about every handle, knob, hinge or pull you can possibly imagine. The store is always spick-and-span, and the owner and his employees are unfailingly helpful and polite.
