Cleveland Indians Snow Days

For the six weeks following Thanksgiving, the Cleveland Indians transform Progressive Field into a winter wonderland. This one-of-a-kind event turns the downtown baseball stadium into a family-friendly place to go tubing, ice-skating, weaving through a snow maze and gawking at 10,000 Christmas lights. The Batterhorn, a 10-lane tubing hill, covers the bleachers. The ride is quick and slick. There's a 36-inch height requirement. Skaters wind around the Frozen Mile's quarter-mile track and tunnel. (Beginners skate on the Rookie Rink.) Kids itching to play in the snow love Slider's Snow Zone, where it's always snowing and team mascots join in. The atmosphere is completely festive. Winter Haven Trail and Snow Maze sparkles with vintage lights and themed Christmas trees. A DJ spins holiday tunes, while the jumbo TV screen shows Christmas film clips. A winterized concessions menu includes cocoa ($1.75), chili ($2.75) and combo meals($8.75). Warm up by the fire pit, in the home-team dugout or inside the skate rental area. Tickets range from $5 (general admission) to $100 (family pack). Free parking with advance purchase.
