Midwest Living Review

Top-notch service and a lovely decor help the downtown Cleveland location maintain the Ritz-Carlton's reputation for luxury.

Rooms at Cleveland's Ritz-Carlton are outfitted with marble-topped tables, reading chairs, full-size desks, dressing tables and luxury linens. They are nice furnishings, and you expect them to be when paying about $300 a night for a hotel room. If you're not accustomed to high-end service, the staff's dedication to your comfort can be surprising. More than a handful of staff may help you just in getting from the front door to your room. Clerks offer to print maps to your next destination. Everyone seems trained to go above and beyond to help. Rooms are decorated in muted green and gold tones, and several features show extra attention to detail. The TVs are 36-inch flat screens. The beds are flanked by two night stands and two alarm clocks. You'll find an iPod docking station and video game equipment. Guests can order room service or enjoy the sedate Muse restaurant, where entrees are surprisingly affordable in the $22 to $29 range. Evening drinks are available in the lobby lounge. For those looking for a more exclusive atmosphere, access to the top-floor lounge is available or an extra $100 per day. The hotel's full-size swimming pool, Jacuzzi-style hot tub and spa are great spots to relax. The spa includes a sauna, massage rooms, exercise equipment and showers. Nearby attractions include the Hard Rock Caf and the Quicken Loans Arena. If you don't mind long walks, it's also not too far to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and to the Cleveland Browns Stadium.
