Midwest Living Review
Capri Sausage and Meatballs serves just two items: Italian sausage sandwiches and meatball sandwiches. Either will easily satisfy any craving for a classic Italian sandwich. And, at less than $5 for a hamburger-size sandwich with the works (a slice of provolone, tomato sauce and roasted peppers), they won't much of a dent in your wallet. If you don't love the taste of roasted peppers, skip them; the flavor can really overwhelm the whole sandwich. Both the sausage and the meatball sandwich have considerable kick to them, but if heat is a priority, choose the sausage. Bring cash for this carryout-only place, where lines can get long, but service is quick (and somewhat terse).Capri offers quick service and good taste at a ridiculous value and more than anything else, it lends a feeling of authenticity when you're in town to honor someone like Dino, native son Dean Martin.
