Midwest Living Review
Atwood Lake Park is one of five reservoir parks created and managed by the Muskingham Watershed Conservation District. While it's technically a state park, it's operated more like a private park, which makes for a friendly and clean experience. Boating is especially popular here:The calm waters and relative shallowness make the lake a boating and sailing playground. Camping (over 500 sites), swimming (from a sandy beach with a concession sand), hiking and fishing are all possibilities. Summer means special events such as fishing tournaments, fireworks and concerts. While there's plenty to do, this isn't the sort of park for challenging outdoor recreation, instead it's more suited to the traveler or family looking for relaxing recreation. Admission $5 per car.
