Midwest Living Review
This hotel is rightly touted as a destination center. In addition to well-appointed rooms, Canad Inn has an indoor water park, an arcade, several restaurants (Aaltos Garden Cafe, Tavern United sports pub and 'l Bistro Mediterranean Eatery) and a convention center. It’s attached to the Alerus Center, the University of North Dakota's auditorium-football arena, and because it's part of the UND campus, the hotel is a convenient choice for those visiting or doing business with the school.
Open to both hotel guests and the public, the on-site Splasher's of the South Seas is the largest indoor water park in North Dakota and features several slides, a lazy river, adult hot tub and children's play area. A concession stand and Garbanzo's Pizza and Arcade adjoin the facility. The Playmaker's All American Lounge is another unique Canad Inn attraction, described as a UND sports bar-boutique casino offering blackjack and other games.
Decorated with photos of old Grand Forks, rooms (starting from $129) showcase new bedding, contemporary bowl sinks, flat-screen TVs and great water pressure in the shower. Kids’ themed rooms are available.
