The Keeping Room

This shop is probably the classiest of the independent stores in Nebraska City's main shopping district, with two floors of home decor and gift items. Part of the store is arranged in room vignettes, so you can see just how cute those lamps and throw pillows will look in a living room setting. The store staff is helpful yet unobtrusive. Nice touches include a kids coloring station tucked in the rear of the store. This is the type of place you visit on a weekend getaway, and then regret what you didn't buy once you get home.
