Kearney, Nebraska

In spring, one of the planet's epic wildlife migrations draws visitors to Kearney and nearby Grand Island. More than 500,000 Sandhill cranes stop at the Platte River during their migration. But there's more to do here than bird-watching: See The Archway museum spanning Interstate-80, tour the Classic Car Collection, and explore the 200-acre village at Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer.
