Midwest Living Review
Getting your thrills is easy at this entertaining restaurant and music spot in St. Louis' Delmar Loop. Besides standard pub-style fare, the menu includes some fun specialties, like trout almondine and chilimac. While Blueberry Hill is surely a stop for tourists, prices are eminently reasonable. It's good for an end-of-night snack, too, as it's open till midnight (except on Sundays, when closing time comes at 11:00). You'll also find dozens of beers on tap. Beyond offering a boss burger and brew, the place groans with funky memorabilia. Trinkets from The Simpsons, Howdy Doody, Elvis, Hopalong Cassidy, Beverly Hills 90210, Smurfs, Barbie, Popeye, Grateful Dead and Kiss line up next to Wurlitzer jukeboxes, Soaky toys and more. For a real treat, jam yourself into the Duck Room, where rock 'n' roll great Chuck Berry still performs each month. Note, however, that tickets are required and often sell out fast, and that the Duck and Elvis rooms are restricted to patrons 21 and older. Also, Blueberry Hill's smoking room is one of only two in town.
