Midwest Living Review
When jazz and blues musicians finish their sets around downtown St. Louis, they head to BB's to relax and listen to music. That's how good BB's is. Three jazz and blues joints lie along this stretch of Broadway, but BB's is the king of the bunch. The venue is a grand old mid-19th-century brick building that's gone from reception hall to transient hotel to house of ill repute. Today it's the best music spot in St. Louis. Musicians play until well past midnight, so BB's is a favorite late-night spot. The menu offers up authentic jazz and blues flavor, too: catfish po' boys, gumbo, and red beans n' rice are followed by slices of sweet potato or Southern pecan pie. There is a cover charge at the door.
