Midwest Living Review
Started by a college professor encouraged by his daughter's love of his cheesecakes, this bright and energetic location is now owned by a brother and sister team that has expanded the bakery to include every imaginable kind of cookie, pastry, cake or muffin. Breakfast is light and flavorful with lots of fruits and creative egg dishes. We had an excellent egg white omelet with spinach and feta cheese ($6.99) that came with fresh fruit and fried potatoes -- not too many and not too greasy. We also sampled a blueberry muffin -- a meal in itself with fresh blueberries and a sweet citrusy glaze. Lunch offers fresh salads, homemade dressings and healthful offerings of sandwiches. Dinner is more of the same selection of zesty creations, all for around $10. You'll find nearly two dozen flavors -- and seasonal offerings -- of cheesecake ($3.29 a slice). Try the Mississippi Mud, the Peanut Butter or the Key Lime.
